If you have a question about a SQL query or have a particular database problem you would like to puzzle me with, feel free to send me an email at mandy@sphinxian.com. Since I do have a life (and a job), I don't promise immediate response to requests, but I will try to get back to you in a timely fashion.

I do not care for DBA troubleshooting questions (like, what is the ideal extent size? How can I cure fragmentation?) I do know the answers to these questions and more, but they bore me and I won't do pro bono work of that nature.

Also, although I might answer database design questions, since this is a "hobby" site, and, besides, I get paid to do that, there is a limit to how much of this I will do for free.

If you are looking for a database designer: If you need a contractor to help design your database, contact my employer Automation Creations, Inc. Although their site might imply that they are primarily website developers, don't be fooled -- they do all kinds of database work there. Their biggest web-based database projects can be seen at www.matweb.com and www.shop4ahome.com.

If you need a graphic designer: My almost-partner-in-crime, Tania Fraser, who was going to be the co-owner of Sphinxian Designworks, is available to do that kind of work.
